The first in Russia private interregional air ambulance service operates on the base of our helicopter center. HELIDRIVE MEDSPAS carries out air ambulance functions in St. Petersburg, Leningrad region and neighboring regions. The basiс principle of the activity is the providing of a comprehensive air medical services.

Our air ambulance service is on duty around the clock every day. The staff of highly qualified medical specialists, professional pilots and dispatchers and the center’ own fleet of light helicopters with modern medical equipment allow us to provide air ambulance services at a high professional level.

INTER-HOSPITAL PATIENT TRANSFER.

Transportation of patients from regional medical institutions to hospitals of a higher levels is carried out in order to improve the quality of medical care for the Leningrad Region residents. Transfer is carried out in planned and emergency modes according to the main conditions: acute coronary syndrome, acute disturbance of cerebral circulation; the effects of severe injuries; the critical condition of pregnant women; evacuation of newborns and children with pathologies; mass admission to the district hospital.

Mass events medical support.

HELIDRIVE has everything needed for carrying out a multi-day duty of air medical team at international sports and mass events. Our helicopters were already successfully used to provide medical support for the Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix from 2014, the World Hockey Championship in 2016 and other significant events.

HOW IT BEGAN.

In 2014 Helicopter center HELIDRIVE together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Health of Russia and the governments of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region launched the pilot project of creating of a private inter-regional air ambulance service. The project was based on the principle of providing of a comprehensive air medical services, that is, full outsourcing of the air transport emergency medical aid services.

BUILDING THE SERVICE.

Within the project HELIDRIVE formed its own air ambulance service team (highly qualified doctors, nursing staff, professional pilots and dispatchers, the whole team was trained in VCMK Zaschita, part of them – abroad), purchased light helicopters with high-tech medical equipment, developed the procedure for providing emergency medical aid on board the aircraft, obtained all the necessary licenses and certificates, and built a helicopter take off and landing infrastructure near all the regional hospitals in the Leningrad Region.
